stood a Log Kit Cabin® where a rugged
individual looked through his double-glazed,
gas filled, Thermo-horizon® window,
surveying his labor with a contented sigh.
Tough as it had been to assemble a forest
the way it arrived from the manufacturer –
mislabeled and coded with the wrong colors –
this outdoor survivalist knew how much a
forest was a necessary part of his personal
habitat, so that his children and their
children and their children’s children
would have something of the earth to
pass along. Of course, first he would have
to learn how to assemble the children
but that would come, one piece at a time,
he liked to say, one piece at a time.
